My Take
What I admire about Dolly Wells is that she refuses to stay on just one side of the camera. Co-writing and starring in Doll & Em with Emily Mortimer, then writing and directing Good Posture, she's clearly someone who wants to build stories, not merely perform them. That dual instinct usually signals a sharp eye for the small, human moments that bigger productions overlook. I find her the kind of quietly self-possessed talent who tends to be underrated in the moment and reassessed warmly later. I'd happily follow whatever she chooses to make next.
