Jack Willis

Jack Willis is the kind of player I instinctively root for. A flanker from Reading who fought through the brutal injury cycle that comes with the position, he rebuilt himself well enough to thrive at Toulouse in the Top 14 and earn England caps. That is grit, not luck. Born in 1996, he should be entering his prime, and his blend of relentless breakdown work and physical commitment is exactly the unglamorous graft I love watching. I see him as proof that resilience, not just talent, defines a career at the highest level of rugby.
