My Take

Lena Lotzen catches my attention as a forward who competed at the sharp end of German women's football, a system that sits near the very top of the world game. At 171cm and finishing her career at 1. FC Koln, she had the frame to dominate both in the air and on the ground, and I imagine she was relentless about polishing her finishing. I tend to think players like her deserve far more recognition than they get. Reaching that level at all is an achievement, and her career deserves a brighter spotlight than it has so far received in my view.
