Lim Ji-yeon

Lim Ji-yeon is one of those actors you clock immediately as someone who lives inside a character rather than just performing it. I first really noticed her in Obsessed (2014) — a bold debut that earned her Best New Actress recognition at the Grand Bell Awards — but she absolutely detonated on the global stage with The Glory (2022–23), where she played a sadistic school bully with such terrifying commitment that you genuinely felt uncomfortable watching her smile. She trained at Korea National University of Arts, and that craft shows: she doesn't coast on looks or charm, she goes places emotionally that a lot of actors simply won't. I'm rooting for her to keep pushing into darker, stranger territory because that's clearly where she thrives.
