Patrick Gibson

Patrick Gibson is one of the rising talents I am quietly betting on. The Irish actor has been building patiently since The Tudors, finding texture in The OA and Shadow and Bone before taking on his boldest swing yet, playing a young Dexter Morgan in the prequel Dexter: Original Sin. Inheriting an iconic role steeped in menace is a trap for most young actors, yet he brings a poise and unease that feel earned rather than borrowed. Born in 1995, he has time on his side and a rare ability to look both dangerous and disarmingly decent. I am eager to see what darkness he explores next.
