My Take

Robbie Henshaw plays my favourite position in rugby: the centre who has to attack, defend, and read the whole field at once. Standing 191 cm and hailing from Athlone, he graduated from Connacht to Leinster and the Ireland national team while studying at the University of Galway, which I find genuinely impressive. He was a core figure in the era when Irish rugby climbed into the world's elite, doing the bruising, unglamorous work in midfield. I'm always partial to the players who volunteer for the painful jobs, and Henshaw built a career out of exactly that.
