Youssef Kerkour

Youssef Kerkour is an actor I have my eye on. His portrayal of Sami, a Syrian refugee in the series Home, earned him a BAFTA nomination, and rightly so, because bringing real, breathing humanity to a refugee role is no small feat. Now stepping into A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms in 2026, he is clearly on an upward trajectory. As a Moroccan-British performer, he draws on two cultures, and I suspect that dual heritage lends his work a particular depth. I expect his face to become far more familiar in the years ahead. A rising talent worth watching closely.
