My Take

Abdoulaye Doucouré reads to me like the kind of midfielder fans underrate until he's gone. Born near Paris to Malian parents, he came up through Rennes, made his name at Watford, then settled in at Everton from 2020. What I find quietly interesting is the international choice: he played youth football for France but ultimately earned senior caps for Mali, choosing heritage over the bigger stage.
