My Take

Ralston strikes me as the embodiment of homegrown loyalty. A Glasgow boy who came through the ranks to defend Celtic's right flank and earn Scotland caps, he carries a kind of commitment that imported stars rarely have. I see him as a grafter, tenacious and unglamorous, the sort of full-back who runs himself into the ground every week doing the least celebrated job on the pitch. At 183cm he has the frame for the modern role, but it's the relentless up-and-down work that defines him. These are the players who quietly hold teams together, and I'll happily cheer for him.
