My Take

Griezmann is my favorite kind of footballer: the one nobody wanted. French academies passed on him for being too slight, so he developed in Spain and came back to anchor a World Cup-winning side, earning the Legion of Honour in 2018. I love that his game is built on intelligence rather than physique — he presses, drops deep, links play, and still finds goals. At Atlético he embraced the dirty work most stars avoid, which tells you everything about his character. As he heads to Orlando in 2026, I suspect he will elevate his surroundings the way clever players always do: quietly and constantly.
