My Take
Aphex Twin is, to me, the rare artist who treats electronic music as a private laboratory rather than a stage. From a quiet corner of Limerick he reshaped IDM, techno, ambient and acid into something that sounds like nobody else, and his refusal to chase trends is exactly why I trust him. Records like Selected Ambient Works feel both clinical and deeply human, which shouldn't work but does. The 2015 Grammy was overdue recognition for a genuine eccentric. I admire that he built a singular language and never apologized for how strange it sounds.
