My Take

Bobby Deol's career arc is one of my favorite stories in Hindi cinema. Being Dharmendra's son and Sunny Deol's brother opened the door, but it also set a trap: the industry quietly wrote him off when the leading-man roles dried up. Instead of fading into family nostalgia, he rebuilt himself in middle age as a magnetic, unsettling screen presence, and audiences rediscovered him on his own terms. I respect reinvention more than early success, and his is among the most convincing I have seen. The Filmfare trophy matters less to me than the patience it took to earn a second act.
