My Take
Bono is easy to mock and hard to dismiss, and I find that tension genuinely admirable. Plenty of rock stars flirt with activism for an album cycle; he has spent decades absorbing the ridicule that comes with sustained, unglamorous advocacy while still fronting one of the biggest bands on earth.
