My Take

Christopher Judge is a performer I have grown to admire enormously. Long known as Teal'c in Stargate SG-1, for me he truly arrived as Kratos in God of War. That deep, gravelled voice and his portrayal of a war god wrestling with fatherhood were so commanding that his 2022 Game Awards win for Best Performance felt entirely deserved. Learning he also voiced Magneto in X-Men: Evolution only deepened my respect for his range. I am always drawn to actors who can summon an entire character through voice alone, and Judge does it with rare gravity and soul.
