My Take
Damian Hardung has quietly become the German actor I most expect to break internationally. The range already on his resume impresses me: the wry intelligence of How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast), the brooding romantic lead of Maxton Hall, and the moral weight of Stella. A Life. Born in Cologne in 1998, he belongs to a streaming-native generation, yet he picks projects like someone with old-fashioned theatrical instincts. What I value most is that he refuses to coast on a heartthrob image when heavier material is available. If German cinema wants a global ambassador for his generation, I would nominate him without hesitation.
