My Take

David Kaye is a voice I grew up with without ever knowing his face, which is exactly the mark of a great voice actor. This Ontario-born Canadian defined Megatron across multiple Transformers series, then flipped sides to play Optimus Prime in the animated reboot, plus Professor X, Khyber, and roles in Ratchet & Clank. The range floors me: he can make a villain genuinely menacing and a hero quietly noble using nothing but tone. Building a decades-long career purely on vocal craft is harder than people realize. To me he is a true artisan, the kind of performer whose work outlasts the trends.
