My Take

I have a weakness for South American attackers who rise through legendary academies, and Diego Rossi fits the mold beautifully. A Montevideo kid forged in Penarol's youth ranks, he turned professional as a teenager and now slices up defenses for Columbus Crew in MLS. At 170 cm he is not physically imposing, which tells me his game leans on quickness, intelligence and technique rather than brute force, and that is the kind of forward I enjoy watching most. There is real upside here. I would love to see Rossi test himself on an even bigger stage, and I will be rooting for him.
