My Take
Henshall is the kind of actor I treasure: unflashy, stage-trained, and quietly magnetic. As DI Jimmy Pérez in Shetland he held a series together for more than a decade without ever raising his voice, letting the bleak island landscape and his own contained gravity do the work. His Professor Cutter in Primeval showed range too, but it is the restraint that defines him. There is a craftsman's integrity here that I deeply respect, the willingness to win an audience through honesty rather than spectacle. Reliable, soulful character actors like this are exactly the kind I root for.
