Erik Sandin

Erik Sandin was the drummer for NOFX, and that single fact tells me more than any awards list ever could. Holding down the beat for a band that helped define West Coast punk for decades is its own kind of achievement, the kind that doesn't get trophies. He was there when the band formed in Hollywood in 1983 and stayed until its retirement in 2024: the band is the identity. I respect drummers who stick with one project that long, because punk burns through lineups fast and stability behind the kit is underrated.
