Foxes

Foxes earns my attention not just for the fairy-tale break, when her debut "Youth" caught Zedd's ear and "Clarity" climbed to number eight on the Hot 100 and won a Grammy. What sticks with me is that Louisa Rose Allen is a pop vocalist who also plays rock drums and guitar. That craftsman streak, building the music and not only fronting it, is exactly what makes an artist age well in my book. From Southampton to the global charts is a striking arc, and born in 1989 she has plenty left to give. I'd happily follow where she takes her sound next.
