My Take
Giri Babu, born Yerra Seshagiri Rao in 1943, is the kind of figure I deeply respect: a craftsman who poured decades into a single film industry. Working primarily in Telugu cinema as actor, writer, producer and director, he represents the durable backbone that lets a regional film culture thrive behind its bigger stars. The fact that his son Raghu Babu also became an actor-director tells me filmmaking became a true family trade. I am drawn to people who build and sustain rather than merely shine, and Giri Babu strikes me as exactly that quiet, essential pillar.
