Hannah Simone

Hannah Simone won me over as Cece on New Girl, where her timing lifted every scene she was in. Born in London and educated at the University of British Columbia, she has that internationally raised ease that translates well to comedy, the kind of relaxed, lived-in funniness you can't fake. Moving from modeling into acting, she clearly understands rhythm and restraint, and her involvement in causes hints at someone with substance beyond the punchlines. I'd happily watch her carry more roles built around that natural warmth. She strikes me as a performer who makes likability look effortless, which is harder than it looks.
