My Take
What fascinates me about Karim isn't just that he co-founded YouTube, but that he filmed its first video, a nineteen-second shrug at the zoo that now sits past 395 million views. The German-born Illinois engineer planted a flag on the entire creator economy and then, tellingly, walked back toward study and research rather than clinging to fame. I admire that restraint. Titles fade, but being the literal first is permanent, and he seems comfortable letting that one quiet upload speak louder than any executive title ever could.
