My Take

Kali interests me precisely because he was a defender, not a flashy attacker, and African footballers in those roles rarely get their due. Standing 187 cm and emerging from Luanda, he carved out a professional career as a centre-back through sheer physical commitment. I have a soft spot for players who do the thankless work at the back, the ones who let others shine while quietly holding the line.
