My Take

Trevor Donovan landed in my memory as Teddy Montgomery on 90210, and that role is still what most people picture when his name comes up. He fits the mold of the polished, model-turned-actor type, and there's nothing wrong with that lane, but I'm curious whether he's been given roles meaty enough to show what else he can do. The 90210 reboot was a useful launchpad, yet I tend to think the real test for actors like him comes afterward, in the work that doesn't trade on a familiar teen-drama face. He's someone I'd like to see surprise me.
