Keita Machida

Okay, Keita Machida is almost unfair to me. The guy's pushing 183 centimeters, has that clean-cut leading-man face, and yet he came up through Gekidan EXILE, so he can actually move, dance, command a stage. That combo shouldn't be legal. What I love is the backstory behind the polish: a kid from a mountain town in Gunma who went and built himself at a sports university. So under all that smooth elegance there's real sweat, and somehow that makes the whole package land harder for me. On screen he's got this loose, unforced thing going, the warmest soft-eyed guy one minute and a flash of cool detachment the next, which keeps me happily off-balance. And he keeps his private life quiet and tidy, no messy noise. Effortlessly graceful, quietly capable. Honestly, that's exactly my kind of guy.
