My Take

Khary Payton is the kind of performer whose voice you've probably loved without ever knowing his face. He IS Cyborg in DC animation for a generation of fans, and his Aqualad on Young Justice carried real gravity. Then he turned around and made King Ezekiel, tiger and all, one of the most charismatic additions to The Walking Dead. That range, swinging between booming heroics in the booth and grounded, theatrical menace on camera, is rare. I think being able to command attention without relying on looks alone is an underrated skill, and Payton clearly has it. I'd watch almost anything just to hear what he does with it.
