Kian Egan

What strikes me about Kian Egan is how he built a career on being the steady one. As a member of Westlife, the Sligo native helped drive one of the most commercially successful pop acts ever, with twelve albums and thirteen world tours behind him. I find it telling that he didn't stop at singing, branching into songwriting, composing and television presenting. To me that signals someone who understood a boyband has a shelf life and quietly diversified before he had to. The hometown loyalty implied by his County Sligo roots also reads, to me, like an artist who never lost his footing despite the global scale.
