Lara Pulver

Lara Pulver first caught my eye as the dangerous, seductive Irene Adler in Sherlock, but there is far more range here than a single role. The Southend-on-Sea actress moves fluidly between television, film, and the stage, and her 2016 Olivier Award for Gypsy proves she earns respect where it is hardest to win, in live theater. With a dance background underpinning her physical presence, she brings real discipline to her craft. To me she is a genuinely versatile performer who deserves to be far better known internationally.
