My Take
Lorenzo Richelmy interests me as a study in lucky preparation. He spent years grinding through Italian television and film before Netflix cast him as the lead in Marco Polo, a role demanding he bridge East and West on a global stage. What strikes me is how naturally he carried that weight, a La Spezia-born, Rome-raised actor suddenly anchoring an international production. Born in 1990, he occupies an unusual position, recognized both at home in Italy and among English-speaking audiences. I am genuinely curious to see which world claims him next.
