LTJ Bukem

LTJ Bukem is one of those names I associate with a very specific mood: the jazzy, atmospheric end of jungle and drum and bass that feels more like floating than raving. Running his own Good Looking label tells me he cared about curating a whole sound, not just chasing hits, and I admire artists who build a world rather than a single track. He trained as a classical pianist before discovering jazz, and you can hear it in everything he does. What I'm confident about is his influence: for a certain era of British electronic music, his atmospheric approach quietly shaped how the genre could breathe.
