My Take
I really like Luke Roberts's slow-burn trajectory. The Suffolk-born actor spent over a decade as Joseph Byrne on Holby City, the kind of patient, unglamorous work that builds a real foundation. Then in 2024 he voiced and performed James Sunderland in the Silent Hill 2 remake and earned BAFTA, Golden Joystick, and Game Awards nominations. That an actor who paid his dues in television could be celebrated in gaming feels like a glimpse of a new kind of performer. There's a grounded magnetism to him, and I suspect his most interesting roles are still ahead.
