Saori Yoshida

Okay, "most powerful primate on Earth" might be the greatest nickname ever handed to a human, and honestly Saori Yoshida earned every syllable. Sixteen straight world titles, three Olympic golds, a 206-match individual win streak, a literal Guinness record for 13 consecutive years at the top. Imagine being her opponent and seeing that bracket, you're already half-beaten. She started wrestling at three under her dad's coaching, built her whole game around that relentless tackle, and just never let go. What gets me, though, is the contrast: this terrifying force of nature is all giggles and sweetness on TV. And when she lost in Rio and cried, the whole country cried with her, that's when you realized she was human too. Mie's gift to the world, no question.
