Michael Middleton

What I admire about Michael Middleton is how thoroughly unglamorous his path was. A British Airways flight dispatcher, a behind-the-scenes role that keeps aircraft moving safely, later co-founding a mail-order party supplies business with his wife. Then life threw a curveball: his daughter became Princess of Wales. Yet he never seems to have chased the spotlight. To me, that quiet steadiness is the real story here, a Surrey-educated man who simply did the work and held his family together. I find that kind of unflashy reliability genuinely more compelling than fame, and it earns my respect.
