My Take
Sapochnik is the kind of director I find myself rooting for: a former storyboard artist who learned to think in images before he ever called action. That foundation shows. When Game of Thrones needed someone to make chaos legible, to turn mud, smoke and panic into something an audience could actually follow, he was the safe pair of hands, and the 2016 Emmy proves it. What interests me most is his range. The man who staged enormous battles also delivered the quiet melancholy of Finch. I tend to trust filmmakers who can swing between spectacle and stillness, and he clearly can. A craftsman worth watching.
