Minzy

Minzy is honestly one of those performers who made 2NE1 impossible to ignore — she joined the group as a teenager in 2009 and immediately stood out as the best pure dancer in the lineup, which is saying something given how stacked that group was. There's something almost unfair about someone who can rap, sing, and move the way she does, all at once, all with that much conviction. Her departure from 2NE1 in 2016 felt like a gut punch to fans at the time, but she came back swinging with her solo debut EP in 2017 and never really stopped grinding. She also graduated magna cum laude in theology from Baekseok University in 2017, which tells you she wasn't just coasting on idol fame — she put in real academic work. I've always respected that she stayed in music on her own terms instead of pivoting to TV or acting. Pure artist energy.
