My Take
What strikes me about Miriam Quiambao is the arc of her life rather than the crown itself. Yes, she was first runner-up at Miss Universe 1999, but the more telling chapter is her pivot to co-hosting a faith-based program. I find that quietly admirable: choosing voice and conviction over the easy glamour her pageant fame could have sustained. Her University of Santo Tomas background hints at substance behind the poise. Beauty queens are common; ones who reinvent themselves around purpose are rare. I respect her for following meaning instead of momentum, and for staying visible on her own terms.
