My Take

Nadia Hilker is one of those actors I first noticed in genre work before I knew her name. The Munich-born performer broke through in the indie creature romance Spring, then planted herself firmly in two of the biggest cult ensembles around, The 100 and The Walking Dead. I find her well suited to that world, equal parts model-grade screen presence and a willingness to get muddy and dangerous in apocalyptic roles. Crossing from German modeling into American sci-fi and horror television is a tricky leap, and she made it look natural. I'm curious where she goes once she steps outside the post-apocalypse.
