My Take

Park Min-gyu is exactly the kind of player whose career I enjoy tracking, a South Korean full-back quietly grinding it out abroad. Born in Seoul and schooled at Honam University, he's spent time in Japan with Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, which I find telling, the Korea-Japan football pipeline produces a lot of dependable pros like him. To me, full-backs are the unsung engines of a team, doing the up-and-down running nobody applauds.
