Ralf Rangnick

Rangnick is one of those figures whose influence on football far outstrips his name recognition outside Germany. What fascinates me is that he built his reputation not on glamorous clubs but on patient, almost academic tinkering, turning modest sides like Ulm into proof of concept for ideas that later reshaped the modern game. He is essentially a teacher who happens to work on the touchline, and I admire how he kept evolving from player to coach to executive without ever chasing the spotlight. That quiet, intellectual rigor is exactly the kind of legacy I find more durable than trophies alone.
