My Take
I find Roma Downey's arc quietly moving. Born in Derry in 1960, she went on to comfort the world as the angel Monica across nine seasons of Touched by an Angel. What I respect most is that she refused to stay merely an actress, stepping into producing and shaping her own projects. The OBE, the Hollywood Walk of Fame star, her turn as Jackie Kennedy, all point to someone of genuine substance. There is a grace and conviction about her that the résumé only hints at, and I admire the resolve that carried her this far.
