My Take
I consider Sacha Baron Cohen the bravest comedian of his generation, full stop. Anyone can write satire from a safe distance; he walks into real rooms as Ali G, Borat, or a fictional dictator and lets actual people expose themselves. That takes nerve most performers simply do not have. What elevates the act, for me, is the sharp intelligence beneath the chaos: every absurd stunt is engineered to reveal prejudice or hypocrisy. The 2007 Golden Globe for Borat confirmed what audiences already knew. I respect that he risks lawsuits, bans, and his own safety for a laugh that doubles as social commentary.
