My Take

Samisoni Taukei'aho embodies a story I never tire of: a kid from Tongatapu who fights his way to the very top of world rugby. Now a hooker for Super Rugby's Chiefs, he pulled on the New Zealand jersey through residency, and wearing that black shirt demands serious commitment. I have a soft spot for hookers, the unglamorous engine room of the scrum, throwing lineouts and hurling their bodies into the dirtiest collisions. There is no spotlight there, only graft.
