Sonja Kristina

Sonja Kristina is, to me, a quietly remarkable figure. Stepping into the original London cast of Hair placed her right at the pulse of the 1960s, and then becoming the voice of Curved Air made her something more than a singer, almost a vessel for that era's restless creativity. I love that she later turned to voice coaching. There's something deeply fitting about an artist who carved her own path with her voice now teaching others to find theirs. I admire performers with that kind of unbroken throughline, and she clearly has one. Her story feels like a thread running straight through British music history.
