My Take
Cooper interests me as a builder of players rather than a former star. The Pontypridd-born Welshman cut his teeth coaching Liverpool's academy, and that grounding shows in the credibility of his hands-on teaching. His path has been patient and unglamorous, the long apprenticeship of a developer, and his willingness to manage abroad at Brondby suggests he follows the work wherever it leads. I have a soft spot for figures who choose the dugout over the spotlight, shaping talent instead of chasing it. He strikes me as a true craftsman of the coaching trade, and that earns my respect.
