Teddy Sinclair

Teddy Sinclair, better known to many as Natalia Kills, intrigues me precisely because she refuses to stay one person. Born in Bradford, she crafted seductive, cinematic dark-pop under the Natalia Kills name, then reinvented herself entirely as the frontwoman of Cruel Youth. Shedding names and sounds like costumes, she is a true chameleon of an artist. I tend to trust performers who reject a fixed identity; it usually signals someone always chasing the next idea rather than repeating the last hit. She has had her share of controversy, but she is never, ever boring, and that counts for a lot with me.
