My Take
Younghoon — real name Kim Young-hoon — is one of those members of The Boyz who somehow manages to be both quietly understated and completely magnetic at the same time, which is a genuinely hard trick to pull off in a twelve-plus-member group. Born August 8, 1997, this Leo from Yangcheon District in Seoul has built a reputation as one of the group's visuals, but what actually gets me is that he never seems to lean on that — he just performs, and the charisma lands anyway. The Boyz carved out a serious reputation in the fourth-generation K-pop wave with their performance-heavy style, and Younghoon holds his own in that environment without trying to overshadow anyone. Low-key but no less impressive for it.
