My Take
I've always had a soft spot for A. J. Buckley, the Dublin-born actor who somehow became the quintessential American TV guy — which is a pretty wild trick if you think about it. He spent eight seasons playing Adam Ross on CSI: NY, and there was something genuinely likable about that character: the nerdy lab tech who punched above his weight in every scene. Then he pivoted completely with SEAL Team, running all the way through 2024 as Sonny Quinn, the loud, big-hearted operator who's equal parts chaos and loyalty. Those two roles alone give you a career most actors would kill for. Toss in his Supernatural stint and a Pixar voice credit with The Good Dinosaur, and you've got a guy who's never been the biggest name in the room but has quietly built one of the more durable resumes on TV. Underrated, consistently solid, and seemingly impossible to not like on screen.
