Sevani is proof that a body can become its own kind of performance. The Los Angeles-born, Armenian-American actor turned the gangly, unassuming Moose of the Step Up films into a fan favorite, letting jaw-dropping movement do the acting. Dancers who can also act are rare, and he made physicality feel like character. He never needed trophies to earn his place; an entire generation of dance lovers knows exactly who he is.
