My Take

Alex Hassell is the kind of actor I find genuinely interesting because his range is the whole point. Co-founding The Factory Theatre Company tells me he came up through the craft side rather than chasing celebrity, and it shows in the parts he takes. He can be the chilling Translucent in The Boys, then turn around for prestige work like His Dark Materials, Cowboy Bebop, and Rivals without ever feeling typecast. That refusal to settle into one lane is what I respect. He strikes me as a character actor in the best sense, the sort who disappears into a role and lets you forget you have seen him before.
